1. Global Health Program

Position Type: Six Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Tenure-Track) faculty positions

Job Summary

The Global Health Program (GHP) at the College of Public Health is a newly established program offering both a Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in global health. Our program targets international talent with a curriculum completely taught in English and is comprised entirely of international students. The GHP equips students with research expertise capable of providing scientific evidence to solve critical public health issues. With an emphasis on having an international faculty, community-based research, and cultural sensitivity, we train students to apply theories and design intervention through our rigorous course load consisting of work both in the classroom and in the field. Students have the opportunity to have a truly global education.

The GHP at the College of Public Health of National Taiwan University is seeking six (6) full-time tenure-track faculty members at any level (assistant, associate, or full professor) within the fields of global public health. Candidates with research expertise and teaching interests in the following concentrations are very welcome to apply:

- health data science, digital health, population health metrics, translational population health,

 precision public health, population genetics, infection disease control and prevention,

 non-communicable disease control and prevention.

- global health policy, global health law, global health governance, health work force in resource limited

 settings, public health leadership and advocacy, decision science.

- health promotion and health behavioral changes in resource limited settings, community engagement

 and interventions, health planning, and health communication.

- planetary health, One Health, SDG and health, climate change and health

The faculty member(s) will be expected to teach at the masters and doctorate level of the GHP and will also interact closely with faculty members and students from the five graduate institutes through joint appointment by these institutes. Required Qualifications

Minimum requirements include an earned doctorate by December 31, 2019 in a relevant field.

2. Institute of Food Safety and Health

Position Type : Two tenure-track faculty positions / One project-based faculty position

Job Summary

The Institute of Food Safety and Health (IFSH) is established in 2017 with a Master of Science program, and endeavors to food-safety researches at multi-disciplinary approaches. The IFSH is searching two full-time faculty members at any level (assistant professor or higher), which will be appointed both in the IFSH and the Master of Public Health (MPH) program. One additional position of a project-based assistant professor will be appointed in the IFSH. Beside researches, the faculty members will be expected to lecture on undergraduate, MPH, and IFSH courses.

We are interested in candidates in the following research concentrations:

- Food Microbiology or Food Chemistry

- Safety assessment of foods and food processing

- Risk communications of food safety regulations and policies

- Nutritional epidemiology

- Other relating fields complementary to the existing researches of IFSH.

Required Qualifications

A doctoral degree from a leading university around the world in relating fields, and possesses good English proficiency. Mandarin is not a must.

3. Institute of Health Behaviors and Community Sciences

Position Type: Two Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Tenure-Track) faculty positions

Job Summary

The Institute of Health Behaviors and Community Sciences in the College of Public Health at National Taiwan University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position, with a joint appointment with the Master of Public Health Degree Program, beginning on August 1, 2020. This position will be responsible for teaching at Institute of Health Behaviors and Community Sciences and Master of Public Health Degree Program, conducting high quality research, and engaging in institutional and professional service.With an emphasis on community-based research, we train students through courses and practicum experiences in the field to apply socio-behavioral theories to the design and implementation of intervention to promote healthy lifestyles and behavior changes.

The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon candidate’s qualifications.

Required Qualifications

A doctoral degree in community health promotion, community engagement and intervention, health communication, or a field related to health behaviors and social sciences.

A strong research record as demonstrated by publications in academic journals by the time of appointment.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience of teaching, practice, or postdoctoral research.

Job Summary

The Institute of Health Policy and Management (IHPM) at the College of Public Health (CPH) of National Taiwan University is committed to education and research in the field of health policy and health care management.  We work on compelling health issues, ranging from health service delivery system, health insurance, patient safety, quality of care, long-term care system, and policies concerning social and health inequalities.  The IHPM provides three graduate degrees – Master of Science (MS), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA), and contributes to teaching of the baccalaureate public health program (BPH) and the college-wide Master of Public Health (MPH) program.  Our educational goals are to foster the backbone of public health manpower and to cultivate leaders of health policy and health management who uphold health rights concepts, global visions, as well as professionalism.

The Institute of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine(EPM) in the College of Public Health at National Taiwan University invites applications for 2 to 3 full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor positions, with a joint appointment with the Master of Public Health Degree Program(MPH), beginning on August 1, 2020. Required Qualifications
