
Global Health Program will invite Ms. Peifen Hsieh, the Deputy Secretary General of the International Cooperation and Development Fund, to deliver a special lecture at the College of Public Health on Monday, April 14th.
Deputy Secretary General Hsieh holds dual Master’s degrees in Law and Public Policy from Harvard University. She is qualified as a judicial officer and lawyer in the Republic of China and is also licensed to practice law in the State of New York, United States. Her expertise spans diplomacy, international law, international organizations, human rights, and gender issues. She has served as a policy research associate at the National Security Council, a second secretary & election officer and advisor at the Permanent Mission of Tuvalu to the United Nations, a member of the Fair Trade Committee of the Liberal International, a member of the Legal and Political at the New Frontier Foundation, and a member of the International Affairs Committee of the Taiwan Network Information Center.
The International Cooperation and Development Fund(ICDF), established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, is a non-profit foundation aimed at assisting developing partner countries in their development and enhancing economic relations between them. It also provides aid to countries affected by natural disasters or international refugees. The Fund carries out its mission through investments and financing, technical cooperation, humanitarian assistance, and international education and training. It supports development projects in various fields for friendly or developing countries, including those related to the environment, public health, healthcare, agriculture, education, and information and communication technology.
